A individual accused with stalking Kate McCann reportedly deposited her a phone message which posed: "suppose I am Madeleine?"

Julia Wandelt, 24, who a jury heard has persistently asserted she was the missing Madeleine McCann, and her co-defendant are standing trial accused with pursuing Kate and Gerry McCann between June 2022 and February this year.

On Monday, the court was told communication data and data obtained from phones documented Ms Wandelt consistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a biological test throughout the past two years.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - at the age of three during a vacation in Portugal - is among the most covered child disappearance cases and remains unresolved.

A separate phone message, shared in court, recorded Ms Wandelt declaring: "I realize I'm fat and unattractive like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I know."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's recording stated: "Suppose there is a slight possibility that I am she? What happens next? Wouldn't that be significant for you?"

"I don't want money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I only wish to discover," the message continued.

The tribunal was advised that via electronic messages, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a biological test, transmitted youth pictures to her phone in a attempt to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and claimed to have "flashbacks" from a youth with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, an investigator with Leicestershire Police who collated the evidence, advised the court there "didn't appear to be any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also contacted family friends of the McCanns, as per the communication logs.

On that date, the father answered a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "the wrong phone."

During that incident Ms Wandelt recorded a voicemail on Mrs McCann's recording saying "I will persist and I plan to establish my claim."

The court learned Mrs Spragg established a association via internet with Ms Wandelt preceding assisting her on a trip to the McCanns' home in the county in December 2024.

Communication data demonstrated Mrs Spragg had communicated via messaging service to Mrs McCann to say the media had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she deserved to be considered genuine in the time before the appearance to Rothley, Leicestershire, in that winter.

The court heard correspondence between the two accused, in November 2024, considering endeavoring to get Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her trash or from utensils at a dining venue.
